Soundpays provides a unique B2B software solution to harnesses ultrasonic sound wave technology to create a new commerce channel: one where users instantly purchase products from video or display advertising, while viewing the ad. Soundpays has worked with a number of leading brands to create unique ultrasonic engagement opportunities.  Doug has been helping companies leverage emerging technologies to create both unique payment and engagement capabilities. Doug has worked with well known companies and brands in many sectors of the business world such as hospitality, financial services and travel. Clients include Walmart, Sunwing Travel, CIBC, Tim Hortons and AMResorts, as well as a number of start-up and emerging new business ideas.

 Amanda Cosco    Founder of  Electric Runway    One part geek and the other part chic, Amanda Cosco is a leading voice at the intersection of fashion and technology. She is committed to bridging the gap between these two seemingly opposite industries to help humanize technology and to help push the fashion industry into the future.  In addition to contributing to notable publications such as WWD, The Toronto Star, and Wareable, Amanda has shared her insights through talks given on both local and international stages. She continues to travel the globe to stay at the front lines of this emerging and exciting niche.  Amanda earned a Master’s of Arts from Ryerson University in Toronto. Prior to attending Ryerson, Amanda graduated suma cum laude (with highest honours) from York University. She also holds a certificate of digital media skills from OCAD University.

AAshley Barby grew up in Alberta with a passion for fashion and her early sights set on Toronto (or even New York). With degree in hand, and the experience of a plum job with Holt Renfrew, she followed her heart and headed East. Her journey has taken her into the fascinating world of fashion and technology, including the launch of her own online luxury shopping company for authentic pre-loved designer items. She has taken unexpected turns with two technology start-ups, most recently in the fashion technology space as Chief Operating Officer with Specsy - manufacturers of custom 3D printed fashion eyewear.

Through her blog, Sunny with Coffee, she shares positive vibes on life, entrepreneurship and lifestyle. Community engagement, from supporting local fashion colleges to mentoring new entrepreneurs, is at the heart of Ashley’s commitment to make the world a better place – and is also the driver behind her launch of FashionTech Toronto, a forum to connect innovators and leaders in the fashion and tech fields.
