Sarah McMullin | Director of Product Management at Tulip
Sarah McMullin is the Director of Product Management at Tulip, a Kleiner Perkins backed start-up focused on building next generation mobile applications to empower frontline associates. With over a decade of experience in emerging technologies, her work has taken her around the world— from innovating with global luxury retailers, to crowdsourcing DNA to fight food fraud, to creating new Things and making them speak. Her constant focus has been on launching new products that solve real world problems.
Prior to working at Tulip, Sarah held a series of positions within product management and marketing at various firms including SAP, Sybase, and NCR. Sarah graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics degree. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Katherine Homuth | Founder and CEO of Sheertex
Sheertex is the vertically integrated textile technology company behind the world's strongest sheer knit. The company's first product, unbreakable sheer pantyhose, launched early 2018 and collected $200k in pre-orders under the brand Sheerly Genius. Sheertex manufactures out of it's state of the art textile innovation lab in Bracebridge, ON, and has raised over $5M in equity financing. Prior to founding Sheertex, Katherine founded ShopLocket — acquired in 2014 by PCH International, and Female Funders — acquired in 2017 by Highline Beta. Katherine has been named one of the Women to Watch in Wearables, one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women and one of Flare’s Sixty Under 30. She is also the author of O’Reilly’s book, “Funded: The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Raising Your First Round”.
Kristin Dorsey | Head of Marketing at Nōwn
With a start in life in Silicon Valley, Kristin Dorsey was bound to find a home in startups and technology wherever she went. She's worked in software, manufacturing, run a cake business, freelanced in marketing and branding and now is back home in a technology startup as she works to grow the brand and business at NōwnPOS.
